in the beginning...orca amplification

the orca I...well this amp was in use for about a month in the band american speedway. she was simple, she was loud, she was wooden. Basically what we have is a 100 watt marshall plexi circuit with a couple changes. Separate cathode bias on the first preamp tube, a post phase inverter master and a few odds and ends thrown in there.

Keeping with the "bigger is better" mentality a 6x12 seemed like the only acceptable way to shake shit out of modest sized venues across the great land.


Loaded with six celestion seventy eightys she was ready to go on the road. From PA to NC she bumped and jumped around the back of a crowded van and arrived at each and every location unscathed and ready to go.
